I dont live anywhere near Bolingbrook, but if I go out there I know that I have to get some fried fish from Mandys. The sides are phenomenal and it takes you right back to Sunday dinner at your grandmas house. If you havent tried Mandys yet youre missing out so you need to pay a visit to Bolingbrook so you can get a taste. And Mandy, if youre thinking about another location, come on Northwest to Kane county. We could use your soul food goodness! ”

“ In my own personal opinion, I feel that this place is very classy clean. I was very impressed with the layout and warm feeling when I first stepped inside. I strongly feel that the food is Delicious!!! Especially, the large portion sizes of the catfish provided in the dinner plate. The Mac cheese, dressing and my most favorite dessert Peach Cobbler are all Delicious too! That Peach Cobbler is very addictive. Also, the Cashier lady is very kind and welcoming with greeting you when you first step inside. “ We have ordered takeout from Mandys several times. Have had several different entrees each has been delicious. Tonight we had ox tails baked chicken pinto beans mashed potatoes gravy cabbage rice . All the food was very flavorful does not taste like restaurant food but like cooked in mom or grandmas kitchen . Definitely will continue to order from here often THANKS Mandy !!!! ”

“ This is my first time ordering food from Mandys. I ordered the three catfish steak platter with two sides and cornbread. For the sides, I got greens and cabbage. The catfish steaks were thick, had the perfect flavor, and were breaded just right. The greens were to die for, and the cabbage was just as good! The cornbread was ok. It was a little soggy, but that could have been because I ordered my meal to go. The staff was extremely personable and made the experience that much better. The only downside was the wait time. It took about 30 minutes to get my food. I arrived at 515, though, so Im sure it is their busy time. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience eating here and will return when Im in the area. ”

“ The food was excellent. In my group, we ordered smothered pork chops, grilled pork chops, smothered chicken, and ox tails. The sides were tasty and the portions were generous. Everyone was satisfied with their choices. Our server, Patrice had lots of personality and took great care of us! ”

“ Stopped in for dinner recently. Greeted with friendly smile and patience. Ordered and found a table and waited. The atmosphere was comforting with an old school restaurant vibe. Just reminded you of that neighborhood family restaurant that everybody loved. They had old Motown hits playing in the background. One found themselves, singing and tapping their feet with anticipation of a good meal. After a not long of a wait my catfish dinner arrived. This was anticipated when ordering catfish. And let me tell you piping hot golden fried fluffy seasoned to perfection fish is what you want! From the first bite to the last was like yummy yum yum . Needless to say my meal was fantastic. Every bit of home style cooking and taste that one can remember. The cabbage and candied yams were beyond delicious also. This is such amazing spot that includes a variety of options. Everyday has a special of the day. Which is nice to have options. Btw did I mention, they had banana pudding, lemon cake, and peach cobbler. However I did not get to try, my friend did and loved it. This is why I will be returning soon. Like real soon. ”

“ Very good portions. I weigh 180 and its two medium sized meals for me. Pricing was good granted I got pork chops and my lady got pot roast. Only negatives is sweet potatoes were REALLY sweet if you dont have sweet tooth and mashed potatoes not that good ”
